Serve as Senior Consultant and project manager for a talented team of professional consultants in water, water resources, communications, planning, finance, marketing, and media relations.Directly secured over $3 Billion in federal, state, and local grant funding for public infrastructure projects as the lead public affairs consultant. Manage intergovernmental relationships with a politically and geographically diverse group of elected and appointed leadership across multiple states and local jurisdictions.Integrate complex technical aspects of project implementation in order to communicate them into the sensitive administrative, public, and political realms by participating in regular technical meetings with county/city engineers and private consultants.Assist in resolving state and federal litigation about water, land rights, and funding across multiple lawsuits by developing consistent communication strategies through working closely with the legal team.Served as a core member of the finance team that developed the methodology for a $725M water resources maintenance district, incorporating individual benefits to over 60,000 properties. As Planning Commissioner; - Recommend amendments to the text of the Land Development Code.- Examines and decides on any suggested changes to the city zoning map.- Serve as the final review authority for conditional use permits.- Review major and minor subdivisions, planned unit developments and area plan applications, making final recommendations to the City Commission.- Reviews Institutional Master Plans.

Our community land trust is a nonprofit, community-based organization that leverages public and private funds to provide sustainable and affordable workforce housing. This is accomplished through a Shared Equity Model.

The Policy Board is Metro COG's executive decision making body. The board performs three primary functions: - Reviews and approves all of Metro COG's work activities, budgets, bills, etc. - Discusses transportation issues affecting the metropolitan area. The multi-jurisdictional nature of the Policy Board provides the forum in which many of the inter-jurisdictional projects get their start; inter-jurisdictional transportation issues are frequently handled from start to finish by the Policy Board. - Endorsement of policies to regional city and county governing bodies. Metro COG is able to submit comments and request to the North Dakota and Minnesota State Legislatures and Departments of Transportation and the US Congress and Department of Transportation on behalf of the local municipalities. Metro COG is comprised of 14 voting members who represent the metropolitan area, and establish overall policy direction for all aspects of the area wide planning program. The Policy Board consists of at least three-quarters elected officials, and each jurisdiction's voting power is based on its approximate share of the area's population.

* Represent over 900 member companies in the professional contractor industry across North Dakota and Minnesota to build coalitions to advocate for positive regulatory and policy initiatives on local, state and national levels.* Build and maintain relationships with elected leaders and agency officials in North Dakota, Minnesota, and with the federal government.* Craft ordinances pertaining to the adoption of buildings codes, infrastructure implementation, infrastructure financing, flood mitigation, flood elevations, architectural design standards, building setbacks and several others.* Managed the Association’s legislative advocacy in North Dakota and Minnesota, including successfully lobbying passage of multiple pieces of legislation dealing with financial incentives for infrastructure, construction regulations, and more.
