ALETI is the federation of associations of IT companies from countries all over Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal. Since Assespro renewed Brazil's participation, which was approved formally in April 2009, I've been the Brazilian national contact point for international relations with other IT associations in the region and around the world.The biggest contribution in this role happened during the year 2010, when ALETI bylaws were extensively reformed. My previous experience at Assespro, which is in fact a Federation of regional associations, was crucial to this.

Re-elected two years later, during General Assembly held in Brazil, for the period ending 2015.ALETI helds two general assemblies per year, each time in a different country. As ALETI president, I also had the opportunity to attend the Latin American Information Society Ministers Summit in Lima, Peru (December 2010), to attend and speak at the European Technology Platform Congress in Poznan, Poland (October 2011) to take part as a speaker at an EC-workshop in Brussels, held at the European Parliament in November, 2011, about cooperation between Europe and Latin America (where I proposed many concrete project ideas), and to attend the Ibero-American Head of State's Summit in November 2012 in Cadiz, Spain, among many other meetings and speaking appointments.I am also the leader of the IT Census initiative, started in Brazil, and working together with other countries, to develop a harmonized set of indicators about the IT industry. 2013 the Census was expanded to many Latin American countries.
