Serve as the leader of a historic nonprofit settlement house serving the needs and encouraging the dreams of low-income families in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and throughout Brooklyn and the Bronx, New York.The Grand Street Settlement Board of Directors approved a change in title from Executive Director to Chief Executive Officer of Grand St. Settlement starting July 1st, as we kicked off Fiscal Year 2023. This change represented a strong management and organizational structure that positively impacts the community.During this time, our staff and supporters have helped Grand Street undergo immense growth. We now support over 18,000 New Yorkers every year.Our operating budget has quadrupled from $15 Million to $60+ Million. Our youth and early childhood programs have expanded to the neighborhoods of highest need in Brooklyn. We serve as the Community Partner at the Essex Crossing development ensuring that community needs are addressed. And we raised $18M+ with the Board of Directors to fully renovate our 32K square ft LES community center hub.

A model harm reduction drop-in center and outreach program to improve the lives of drug users and people impacted by hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS in the Bronx and Harlem.

Started as a Chicago public school teacher and ASPIRA counselor in my old neighborhood of West Town/Humboldt Park. Went on a post-graduate journey to Los Angeles on a management fellowship with the LA County Department of Health Services— and then on to substantive stints with the Chicago Department of Public Health, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, William F. Ryan Community Health Center, Housing Works and other professional and volunteer experiences with Community Based Organizations & coalitions.
