I am happy to announce that after 37 years, 7 months and 16 days with Wreckair Hire/ Coates Prestige/ Coates Hire / Coates I have hung up the boots. I had a great career in with most of it in the Event Industry, for the majority of the people I have worked with along the way, THANK YOU.

In February 2002, I transferred to Coates Hire when they took over Wreckair Hire. I commenced my role within their Major Event Project Team. This role has a requirement to focus on all areas of Major & Minor events in Victoria. In June 1992 I took the position of Workshop Foreman taking charge of the Wreckair Hire Site Accommodation fleet that had been recently relocated from our Brooklyn Branch to our new facility at Clayton. This role required the day to day supervision of the Yard, Furniture Store and Service Department with 6 full time Staff and 6 contractors. This role also provided product support the the internal & external sales teams.

I commenced with Wreckair Hire as a Diesel Mechanic based at the Coburg Branch working on a range of medium to heavy Diesel Powered Hire Equipment. In mid 1988 I took the roll of Field Service Mechanic which entailed Servicing and Maintaining a variety of Hire Equipment in Victoria and bordering states for general hire and major project clients..

Trade background as a Apprentice Diesel Mechanic / Fitter working mainly on Wabco & Komatsu Earthmoving Equipment, post apprentiship I remained with Forcepower in this field moving into a Field Service roll then to Field Service Supervisor. I then worked for Brambles Forklifts mainly working on Large Equipment in the field. I then worked for Mack Trucks based in Campbellfield with some field work until December 1986.
