Contract position through Chandler McLeod working with the Statutory Manager of Mining Engineering to complete auditing against the site Safety Management System to ensure compliance against legislation .

Managed the procurement, construction, compliance and delivery of Caterpillar equipment for the new mine operation with a value of over $400M including 4 x Excavators, 2 x Shovels, 4 x Blast Hole Drills, 16 x Track Dozers, 40 x Dump Trucks, 24M Graders, 854K RTDs, 789D Water Carts, 775F Service Trucks;Consultation with Site Management to meet legislative and project requirements, as well as involvement in internal and external audits

Facilitated the implementation of Integra Coal's Risk and Assurance Systems in accordance with legislation;Also facilitated and managed site emergency crisis management system 'EMQ';Incorporated improvements into existing Integra HSE systems ensuring that stakeholders own and utilize these improvements across the business;Set audit protocols and time frames to assess Integra Coal's compliance with government legislation and Vale business requirements;

Responsible for maintaining and reviewing policy documentation in conjunction with Site Management and Department Superintendents;Development, maintenance and review of documentation in line with the company's Safety Management System.Submit regular reporting within the business at a site level, statutory DII reports as well as set corporate requirements .Monthly KPI reporting tracking HST requirements;Facilitate site Emergency Response System

• Promote a safe working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors• Remaining conversant with all relevant safety legislation, codes of practice and Australian Standards regarding OHS• Facilitate site Emergency Response System• Site Injury Management• Monitor compliance and implementation of effective corrective actions and the implementation of behaviour based safety system• Attend meetings with other business units and departments regarding OHS matters, as well as supporting the safety committee• Involvement with site management to meet both legislative and OHS requirements, as well as involvement with internal and external audits• Produce reports on the results of audits, including operational safety, system improvement opportunities and recommended actions• Lead and support Incident Investigations and provide reports to relevant personnel as required• Assist in the preparation of documents for the OHS Management system• Collate and report on statistical data• Facilitate the management of Workers Compensation claims• Develop toolbox safety talks and safety alerts and distribute them across the business• Provide HSE Inductions for the NSW locations• Disseminate safety information across NSW locations
