- Conducted an experiment at the OSU Research Reactor aimed at capturing radiographic images using an in-house developed neutron radiography device- Developed MATLAB scripts to evaluate the performance of the digital neutron radiography device by applying common industry metrics including Modulation Transfer Function (MTF), Noise Power Spectrum (NPS) and Detective Quantum Efficiency (DQE)- Work conducted as part of this project was described in an undergraduate honors thesis and published in a journal paper

- Redesigned titanium fixture plates used in an electropolishing process by integrating protective inserts for vacuum coupling radius (VCR) beads; communicated with vendors to receive quotes and manufacture protective inserts; reduced annual cost by $3k- Reviewed current processes to determine the best method for internal surface enhancement; conducted a cost-benefit analysis to investigate replacement of the flex-honing machines- Increased efficiency by designing components of 11 AFM (abrasive flow manufacturing) fixture sets; resulted in total savings of over $11k and a combined labor reduction of more than 350 hours per year- Finished a manufacturing process move to a new work center by creating and modifying corresponding CNC programs and updating documentation (standard work, cycle times, setup database, targets)- Delivered regular progress updates to supervisors and presented a comprehensive final report to project engineers and senior management
