I am a passionate and committed leader with a strong work ethic who achieves results and values making a difference through innovation and collaboration with all stakeholders. I have held leadership roles for most of my working career across the banking industry, retail administration management and the Queensland Government gaining experience in stakeholder management through building relationships with stakeholders and partners including all tiers of government – local, state and national. This experience has been gained in delivering large scale pieces of complex work and events some of which were sensitive in relation to both the nature of the work and the people involved. I have also held leadership roles in community organisations which has provided me opportunity to develop skills in business development, developing corporate partnerships, developing major community initiatives and events, stakeholder management, fundraising, financial and team management. I empower my teams through respect and building individual capability whilst leveraging the strengths of individuals. I have a solid understanding of how teams work through my interest and knowledge of organisational behavior and group dynamics. I have previuously led a team that was a recipient of national and international Intelligent Transport System awards for the delivery of technology solutions in relation to a world first regulatory purpose. I have demonstrated ability to simplify complex information to communicate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders to ensure desired business outcomes and commitments are achieved on time. I approach problem solving in a rational way and I can rapidly acquire knowledge relative to any industry. I am considered an abstract and strategic thinker and able to translate complex theories and possibilities into solid plans of action for desired business outcomes whilst employing project management principles autonomously or as part of a team.
