After helping re-write the course content, teaching the Diploma of Hydraulic Services Design was the next step. I teach one night a week to 33 students (with 2 x co-teachers) and it is a privilege to watch the group grow and learn. We cover all facets of Hydraulic Services design and provide guidance on design methods, but also encourage the students to think and learn for themselves.

At Intrax, my roles include the delivery of Hydraulic and Fire Services designs across a number of sectors. I typically work in the Residential, Retail and Commercial areas. However, we also like to provide some focus on Education, Health and Hospitality.We like to help out our Clients by getting involved in the design process early to ensure that services concepts and spatial requirements are incorporated into the building design prior to consent. This can reduce the risk of unnecessary modifications/costs later in the project.Further to design processes, my focus is always on education and training of the younger generation to ensure they develop into great engineers.

In 2018, Insync Services Pty Ltd was sold to Intrax Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd. As of 1st July 2019, Insync Services has traded as Intrax Projects, a branch under the Intrax Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd company. The Sydney office will continue to operate as we have in the past, but build on the association with Intrax to develop better systems for both companies. We will continue to work in similar sectors as we always have and endeavour to provide great design solutions for our Clients.

As an Education Manager within the HCAA, I am involved with training of our young Hydraulic generation to ensure they get the skills and knowledge that they need to perform in a Hydraulic Consultancy office.The HCAA aim to continually review the training and education systems offered for Hydraulic Consultants to ensure their currency. Our latest endeavours include a collaboration with TAFE (NSW) to develop new learning resources for the Diploma of Hydraulic Services Design. The HCAA has also been in the collaboration of a CIBSE Graduate Building Services Engineering training package.

From humble beginnings, Insync Services has grown substantially over the years and now offer Hydraulic, Fire and Mechanical Consulting services for the construction industry.We strive to provide high quality design and documentation services for all disciplines we are involved in.I am currently employed as an Associate and carry out many roles related to design of Hydraulic Services including design concepts, meeting attendance, client liaison, budget estimates, detail design/coordination, specification writing, quality assurance reviews and management of other staff members.
