About Rod Ashley

Rod held teaching and management positions at high school, college and university level before becoming a full-time education consultant in 1997. He has now stepped aside from most consultancy work but continues with several specialised and pro-bono clients.His main focus has been skills development to enhance citizens' learning and participation in society. He was the earliest-recorded user in the UK of the term 'employability skills' (1998). He has written/co-written over 30 books and well over 100 publications, articles and reports on education, management and employability. His main writing focus now is on aspects of motoring and the history of the automotive industry. Good Motoring magazine has been publishing regular articles by Rod on key people in automotive history.Rod is fortunate to work with an excellent team of Trustees and Mentors at Tafflab, who have made a considerable impact on the life and work of young people.
