I am an Indigenous technology leader and innovator with over 20 years of experience in various aspects of government, business, media and technology. In my current role as CEO of the Manitoba Research Network, I oversee management of the fibre optic infrastructure of Manitoba's universities and colleges, as well as providing guidance on cyber-security technology and policies. As the former CEO and Film Commissioner at MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC, I supported the growth and development of the film and music sectors in Manitoba, in collaboration with the government and community stakeholders. As the first Indigenous Film Commissioner in Canada I successfully managed significant change in the organization and the industry, achieving a record production volume of over $365 million in 2021.My skills include technology innovation, public policy, nonprofit strategy, legislative advocacy, organizational transformation, staff development, leadership, and outcomes management. I have a BA in Political Science from the University of Manitoba and am a Certified Film Commissioner from AFCI University. I am passionate about creating environments where people can thrive and make positive contributions and change happen. I have a reputation for integrity and friendliness, and I am committed to advancing the cultural and economic potential of Manitoba and Canada.
