About Roddi Walker
I am currently Technical Architect at Tango Energy. Previously, I have contracted at MLC and Red Energy, and was the Development Lead at Lumo Energy for almost 5 years. There, I specialised in the architecture and implementation of multi-tier systems using .Net technologies. At a high level, I was responsible for Lumo's goal of migrating its in-house software from PHP to .Net. To achieve this, I designed a consistent microservice based architecture for Lumo’s new .Net systems and lead a team of 7 developers to implement them. Whereas the PHP systems were complex and unmaintainable, the new .Net systems were simple, maintainable and robust.I am now looking for fresh challenges that will deepen my technical skills. I bring to any employer the abilities to perform my role to a very high standard, and the flexibility to contribute across the entire spectrum of system development.Programming skills:Extensive experience with .NET, including .NET Core 2 (C#, ASP.NET Core / MVC / Web Forms, Web API, WCF, ADO.NET, Windows desktop applications, Windows services, MSMQ, XUnit, MSTest, Ninject).Extensive experience with Javascript and JQuery.Extensive experience with Java until 2009 (JDBC, applets, servlets, JSP, Apache Tomcat, JUnit).Experienced with Apache Camel, Sitecore CMS, Borland Delphi, C, C++.Exposure to many other languages including Visual Basic, Perl, Python.Cloud: Azure App Services, SQL databases, Sendgrid email.Devops: JetBrains TeamCity, Octopus DeployDatabase: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 to 2016, TSQL, MySQL, Postgresql.
Listed skills include C#, Asp.Net, Software Development, Ajax, and 46 others.
