At the Cleveland Clinic I'm responsible for supporting the applications, servers and infrastructure within the Center for Pathology Informatics. This includes supporting our SCCM 2012 environment, EMC storage arrays, VMware cluster (ESXi 5.5), SQL servers, Windows, AIX (IBM Power Systems), Linux, Citrix, Backups (EMC Avamar), EMC RecoverPoint, and related applications. In addition to supporting the hardware and software within our production data center, I’m also responsible for supporting our disaster recovery environment. Utilizing various replication strategies, we are able to recover quickly and efficiently.Some of my key accomplishments are listed below –• Lead role in the relocation of our stand alone data center to our newly built enterprise data center• Championed configuration management implementation (SCCM 2012) for our 1500 workstations. o Included 3 phase approach – POC - pilot - production o Trained system administrators on SCCM 2012 o Drastically reduced deployment time for software installs o Redesigned client side deployments by utilizing OSD within SCCM 2012 o Single source of inventory allowing for more efficient auditing process of hardware and software o Increased efficiency by 90% within Pathology Labmed o Incorporated client side patching using automatic deployment rules o Fully migrated to windows 7 using SCCM 2012 OSD• Implemented EMC RecoverPoint for disaster recovery o Eliminated the need for Sungard saving money o Drastically reduced the RTO from days to just hours• Implemented EMC Avamar for server side backups• Played key role in several enterprise storage migrations o EMC CX 500 to VNX 5400 o EMC NS120 to VNX 8000• Lead technical resource for domain merger of Allogen Labs active directory domain into Cleveland Clinics main active directory domain o Reduced costs o Streamlined administration of resources o Incorporated Allogen Lab users and machines into our SCCM 2012 environment
Led a team of software system engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and administrating solutions from the software, hardware, and services used within the organization. The products we supported provided AmTrust Bank with the ability to monitor, automate, develop and analyze everything from our nightly batch processing to our award winning mortgage and retail websites. As a senior software systems engineer, I worked closely with various business units to ensure value and total cost of ownership was achieved from the solutions we have chosen. I played a key role in the design and deployment of several large scale applications used at AmTrust Bank including Nautilus (OnBase) Document Management System, Kofax OCR, BMC Performance Manager, BMC TM-ART, BMC Service Desk Express, BMC Control-M, SFTP / PGP services, Web Trends, Aspect Unified IP, E-TALK, Windows 2003 Server Infrastructure, DNS, and many others.Major Projects / Achievements• Led the implementation of the document imaging system (Nautilus – aka OnBase)• Developed monitoring strategy following through with successfully implementing BMC Patrol (BMC Performance Manager)• Led the automation of batch processing by designing, implementing, and training staff on Control-M within the environment, including batch impact manager and forecast• Saved company $323,000 over a three year period by negotiating software renewals• Worked closely with the data security department establishing standards and resolving audit findings • Played a key role in business continuity plans and disaster recovery testing• SSL certificate administration and renewals• Assisted with the migration from Microsoft Mail to Microsoft Exchange• Lead technical resource for migrating from Novell to Windows as the primary NOS• Installation of servers, workstations, and printers• responsible for maintaining logon scripts for the corporate network

Included the installation of new workstations, testing and installing new software, writing and assisting in the creation of new procedures for daily and nightly processing, and emergency incidents such as system takeovers.
