After the merger with our previous startup I now spend my time leading product at Joust and help shape our vision and strategy by deeply understanding our users, focusing on solving their most critical problems.At Joust I work with an amazing team connecting Australian Consumers, Mortgage Brokers and Financial Institutions, helping to simplify and streamline the often daunting process of getting a home loan to allow more Australians to own their homes sooner.Being a small and dynamic team, we all take part not only in strategy and planning but most importantly all the way through to delivery and execution.My experience includes:- deeply understanding our users and their most crucial issues and pain points- clearly crafting our business model, goals and defining a product strategy that is aligned with our users needs- defining our internal agile product development & delivery framework- communicating our strategy, goals, and bringing data into the decision making process- building and maintaining a shared Business Intelligence dashboard (through Domo) to give all our team members and stakeholders the data they need to understand the business and track our KPIs- shaping our products by creating clear product specifications that align with our strategy- working with cross-functional teams from design, back-end & front-end engineers and testers during our development cycles through to delivery- keeping the broader team constantly informed and trained on our products- working with marketing to craft a compelling proposition to take our products to market and optimizing for growth

I co-founded LoanDolphin from the desire to solve a real problem that my co-founder and I saw while working at two major Australian banks and led the technical and product team as CTO and de-facto product manager for five years.We brought the idea of a reverse auction marketplace for mortgages to life from scratch, building it internally from the ground up, and then focused on constantly iterating and experimenting with solutions to find our market fit and generate the most value for our users to grow our business.Being a B2B2C marketplace, our product impacted Australian home loan consumers, mortgage brokers, and bank lenders who we’ve worked closely with.During my time as CTO I developed my experience such as:- working with agencies during our MVP stage- recruiting and leading a distributed cross-functional team of talented software engineers, designers and testers in-house between Australia, Europe and Asia- setting up a foreign subsidiary company and an office in Portugal where I spent 7 months building a team which I then led and worked with remotely from Australia- working with ASX-listed Corporate Partners- and ultimately completing a M&A where we merged our company with Joust
