Hello! My name is Roddy Smith and I am a Sophomore at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. I am very skilled with numbers and have a good understanding of the stock market. I am a member of Beta Theta Pi on campus, and am on the philanthropy committee which helps to set up philanthropic events for the fraternity. In order to do this, we manage a large social budget each semester. I am also part of South Carolina Relay for Life and hold the position of Team Development Chair, where my committee helps to build teams within our organization and set up events that raise money for cancer awareness. I am very passionate about philanthropy because I feel the urge to help people in need. I am also passionate about getting numbers right because I want things to be done right the first time. My greatest strength is my hard working ability, which I have demonstrated in each of the previous jobs I have had. I have had to manage a committee of seven people with Relay for Life, as well as a plethora of restaurant orders and fellow coworkers at my restaurant jobs.
