Hello! I'm Elizabeth Roden – communications leader and lifelong student.I joined the Operation Eyesight family in 2014 and now lead the organization’s communications and marketing efforts. My experience extends to Venture Communications, the Calgary Public Library, the Calgary Roughnecks and The Terry Fox Foundation, among other organizations. I've worn many hats with a wide range of responsibilities including strategic planning and budgeting, donor communications and fundraising, campaign management, creative writing and advertising, media relations and client services. While working full time at Operation Eyesight, I completed my master's in international and intercultural communication, capping it off with a research project on the discourse of avoidable blindness. Born and raised in small-town Alberta, I moved to Calgary in 2007 to study public relations at Mount Royal University. Calgary is now home. When I’m not at work, I’m trying to keep up to my two young daughters, hanging out at the lake or planning our next get-together with the family.
