I am a senior research scientist and manager at IBM Research in Brazil. I have more than 15 years of experience conducting and leading research and development projects in the areas of artificial intelligence, data science, and human-machine collaboration. Currently, I lead research and development projects that aim at transforming how AI technologies can impact our ways of work, in particular, investigating how AI technologies can affect how teams work, how we measure team productivity and engagement, and how we assess skills and predict their demands. My professional and academic expertise thus lies at the intersection of emerging AI technologies, data science, and organization design & strategy.I thus have extensive experience managing and leading multidisciplinary teams in the areas of machine learning, data science, and social sciences (including human-machine interaction). My technical experience allows me to conduct and drive the development of AI/ML technologies and solutions to address complex business and industry problems and my multidisciplinary background enables me to devise and develop new approaches and solutions that address business needs while taking into account the context of their users’ work processes and practices. I have a passion for studying and developing socio-technical systems.In my personal life, Yoga brings me balance and stamina, while rock-climbing an edge. At home, artisan bread making has become my thing.
