    At this position I was sent to the Law Enforcement Academy in Tuscaloosa where I graduated on 7/15/2004.Maintained the care of all prisoners according to jail regulations and any duties assigned by the supervisor.Provided written reports to my supervisor, Major, or the Sheriff of any incidents, which occurred within the detention center during my shift.Responsible for furnishing any reports to the Sheriff and Major regarding sickness or injuries to a prisoner that resulted in treatment or transportation to the hospital.Made regular inspections within the detention center and made sure that it was maintained in a neat and sanitary manner.Made sure that all prisoners were booked in and processed for confinement as required in the jail.Being a Corrections Officer was my first experience in Law Enforcement. I had to work hands on with all inmates; this included doing physical head counts, carrying inmates to doctor and/or dentist, to serving trays. I broke up minor/ major fights, supervised suicidal inmates and supervised inmates that were involved in high profile cases, from murders to financial crimes. I treated everyone firm but fair.
