I am an award-winning science fiction author with publications in prestigious magazines such as Analog (US), Nature (UK), Science Fiction World (China) and Future Fiction (Germany).I self-published my YA trilogy "Pindakaas en Sushi" between 2014-2017 before pivoting to SF with my military sci-fi novel "De Heren XVII" in 2021 (Quasis) and "Sterrenlichaam" in 2022 (Iceberg Books). The latter also released in China in 2024. In 2017, I won the Harland Award for best speculative short story in the Netherlands.I frequently give lectures and workshops on (writing) science fiction and other related topics. I greatly enjoy spreading my knowledge and insights this way. From comic cons to academic gatherings or think tanks, I will gladly come by to deliver an inspiring lecture about the history, meaning and future of SF.My passion for SF and speculative writing has also lead me to write professionally for various video game developers.
