Reported to CEO. Served as both Opower's chief marketing officer (CMO) and operational leader of the company (COO) during hypergrowth period from startup of less than 50 people to large, publicly traded company of more than 500. Accountability for enterprise Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Consumer Behavioral Marketing on the Opower platform, Client Services, and Technical Operations such as Implementation Engineering and QA. Scaled teams rapidly from inception. 200-FTE direct reporting chain across Asia, Americas, and Europe. Left to cofound Lovevery.- Created and accelerated pipeline through marketing and account management activities- Reset company positioning, messaging, and brand architecture to support multiple business lines in multiple global regions, with distinct value propositions rolling up to enterprise position, demand generation activities (new campaigns, regional events, PowerUp user conference), and PR/AR- Primary writer and designer of IPO roadshow deck + NDR materials; major contributor to S-1- Upgraded marketing team, hiring in subject matter experts in product marketing to support winning at every pipeline stage, standing up an entire demand generation org, and building out a global communications team to win the air war worldwide- Core operational leader of the company; built out global account management and delivery functions in DC, SF, London, Singapore, and Tokyo, with proven success delivering customer satisfaction and renew/upsell while reducing COGS contribution and time to recognize revenue- Also managed talent acquisition for Opower during three-year period as company grew, hiring roughly 500 employees in R&D, Sales, and all other disciplines; achieved high productivity hiring for elite talent in DC, San Francisco, London, Singapore, and Tokyo while also being recognized as the top interviewer and hiring manager in the company; handed off recruiting organization to SVP People once Opower added one on in early 2014
