Nairobi

I provided programs management, financial management, training and education programs development, internships management, member engagement activities, website management, social media engagements, strategic planning, legal documentation, contractual agreements and collaborations liaison, reports and documentation for operations; Attended training, research and development during the annual staff visits in April and May at the headquarters in New York City.

Uganda

I was responsible for providing the best possible structural engineering solutions, supervision, and structural engineering appraisals.I developed an engineering mentorship program with high schools during this period so as to develop great future engineers.

Kampala, Uganda

I was part of the team responsible for studying and implementation of innovations for water, sanitation and hygiene with a fine team from across the world. We developed and implemented a low cost "elephant tap" to be used in rural schools. This tap is a hygiene advancing tap that supports children’s development by improving hand washing in schools co-created between academia, UNICEF and school communities in Uganda. One of the key challenges was identified: stolen, broken or locked taps. In addition, the functioning taps were often left running after children washed their hands. A smaller design team took the lessons learned from the pilot testing and continued developing the tap.
