I am a skilled and versatile IT professional with over 30 years experience in a wide variety of computing environments. I started my career as a mechanical engineer so I have a strong technical foundation,I have worked both as a developer and team leader/manager and am comfortable in either role, although I do like to roll up my sleeves and get involved. My most recent experience has been in developing Web 2.0 applications, exploiting a wide range of technical skills in both the .NET and Java worlds.I pride myself on being able to pick up new skills and apply them quickly to address evolving requirements.

RetiredHome Sep 2013 - PresentAt HomeHaving been made redundant twice in 6 months and failed to secure another position because I'm too old or too expensive I've decided to call it a day. I'm rapidly realising that with family commitments, keeping the house in order, maintaining the garden and tinkering with the bikes and the Stag, I don't have time to go to work anyway!
