I joined the company as a Remote Systems Specialist III initially working out of my house on our servers/sites in Calgary and in 2017 continued working remotely from my Motorhome travelling around USA and Canada.As an independent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision, I was responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, Trouble isolation and resolution, backups/restores and upgrades within our data center and on-site client servers.Using 3CX VOIP for… Show more I joined the company as a Remote Systems Specialist III initially working out of my house on our servers/sites in Calgary and in 2017 continued working remotely from my Motorhome travelling around USA and Canada.As an independent individual who is self-motivating and needs little supervision, I was responsible for day-to-day administration, maintenance, Trouble isolation and resolution, backups/restores and upgrades within our data center and on-site client servers.Using 3CX VOIP for communication, AVG Manage to securely connect to all servers, Skype for team interaction, trouble ticket software and a SharePoint portal for document management I was able to consistently maintain the required level of support to all our clients.Duties included installation/setup/backup/monitoring and maintaining our data center running VMware ESX/Virtual Center, Microsoft Hyper V and on our client's on-site standalone servers running mainly Windows server operating systems.Virtual servers consisted of Windows server 2000 thru 2019 and Ubuntu servers running cPanel web hosting.Supporting server roles including AD/DC/DNS, SQL, SharePoint, Own Cloud, Hosted Exchange for our clients, Remote Desktop Servers and application servers running IIS.Using remote tools such as 3CX, GoToAssist, Skype, AVG Manage and ROHOS 2 factor authentication I was able to maintain a secure level of support to our clients.Backup Software included Veeam, Solar Winds and Acronis.We standardized on Sophos Firewalls and AV products.Ability to program in Batch and PowerShell.
