Current• As Outage Scheduling Supervisor and Outage Manager: Planned, scheduled, organized, and executed refueling, maintenance, and forced outages while maximizing the efficient use of available resources and minimizing the impact to unit safety, reliability, and cost. Provided strategic vision and oversight of daily activities through aligning work priorities, monitoring key performance indicators and managing project milestones ensuring project progress is being made consistent with management objectives. Maintained an environment of continuous improvement by performing benchmarking both inside and outside the organization to find and implement outage preparation and execution best practices. Assessed the budgetary impact of the outage scope and made project recommendations to the senior management team for reconciling scope (~14,000 activities) and budget (~100 million dollars) consistent with the organization’s long range strategic goals.• As Shift Manager, Shift Supervisor, Shift Support Supervisor and Shift Technical Advisor: Responsible for the Safe Operation of two 2804 MWth Commercial Nuclear Power Plants by ensuring compliance with government regulations, technical specifications, and procedures. Provided oversight and supervision to operating shift crews which included Licensed Reactor Operators and Non-Licensed Maintenance Operators. Sets and reinforces senior management’s standards and expectations. Assed operational risk and makes conservative operational decisions. Provided leadership and mentoring of crew personnel in training and qualification programs. Conducted safety meetings and oversight for other operators enforcing safe practices and ensuring appropriate protective equipment is used.
