Fort Sam Houston, Texas

Served as the Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Chief for Assistant Chief of Staff Operational Protection Directorate (OPD), US Army South. Assisted in the planning, coordination, and execution of the directorate's current and future joint/combined AMD operations for the Army Service Component Command of the US Southern Command, consisting of 32 diverse countries throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean. Managed and supervised the operation, training, maintenance, and readiness of the AMD section personnel and equipment. Supervised the designing and management of the unit's data link architecture, including integration with Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS), and Joint Data Networks. Assisted in Air Space Management (G3 Air) and Joint Fires (G7) planning and deconfliction.- Initiated training opportunities, for all section personnel, with ARNORTH and the South Carolina ANG's 263d Army Air and Missile Defense Command- Coordinated and participated in a Joint Deployable Integrated Air and Missile Defense (JDIAMD) exercise that allowed section personnel to maintain AMD section MOS proficiency and remain up to date on TTPs used to detect evolving threats and sharing this knowledge with Partner Nations in the ARSOUTH AOR-Coordinated and executed new equipment training for the section at the Northrop Grumman Training Facility in Huntsville, Alabama and was able to improve on the situational updates within the ARSOUTH Current Operations and Information Center-Coordinated and executed the section's participation in a Joint Task Force-North Counter Drug / Counter Narco-Terrorism operation along the US and Mexico border. This provided AMD the opportunity to work with various federal, state and local law enforcement organizations in New Mexico and California by setting up an AMD network without the support of typical military communication units- Coordinated and established an enduring training program with operational ADA units throughout FORSCOM
