This was a classroom experience for me, as I supported the teacher in a special needs classroom in a variety of areas. This included providing assistance in delivering instructional material as well as basic management of the classroom. One of my favorite activities was working with individual students, and adapting instructional approaches and materials to meet their specific needs. With Mentoring of America I was able to display my skills in training and coaching. I conducted training sessions on sales techniques for clients in the real estate coaching program. To ensure regulatory compliance, I needed to keep up to date on issues and regulations related to the buying and selling of real estate, and pass this information on to our clients. Another method I used to help our clients in line with current regulations was developing a webinar on closing procedures. With the Center for Independent Living I was able to support one of my passions, supporting individuals with disabilities, and helping them lead more normal lives. I was also able to suggest improvements in our business processes after gathering data and analyzing the information.
