I participated in the Virtual Student Foreign Service (VSFS), a U.S. Department of State program enabling American college and university students to intern remotely at federal agencies. During my internship, I provided managerial support for the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Colombia, specifically contributing to the "Read Out Loud" community outreach initiative.This program aimed to foster English language learning among local youth and provided opportunities for them to visit the United States. My involvement coincided with the ongoing FARC disarmament process, which piqued my interest in International Arms Trade.This experience deepened my understanding of diplomatic efforts and international relations, particularly in regions undergoing significant political transitions.
