I’m an award-winning radio producer, audio engineer, educator, and ambient musician offering more than 10 years of noncommercial broadcasting experience supplemented by leadership and expertise in manipulating the English language.I first discovered the magic of radio in 2011 at Arizona State University’s student-run station, where I hosted an ambient music program. At ASU, I also earned my master’s from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and I’ve taken my skillset to public radio stations across the country, including KJZZ, KRDP, Maine Public, KUER, and KEXP. Across my various roles in hosting, operations, and promotions, I’ve kept leadership in programming at the forefront, helping shows and stations find their best sound when going behind the mic, raising money for fund drives, and launching new podcasts. Some of those shows have earned national and international accolades, such as KUER’s State Street and KEXP’s 50 Years of Hip-Hop series. As a bonus, I’ve been able to contribute original music to help tell some of those stories.When I’m not at the station, you’ll often find me reading Latin texts, playing tennis, eating pizza, or composing music.
