As the Safety Director I have many responsibilities. Formulate and implement policies, procedures and programs on construction safety that comply with OSHA regulations. Have to have a broad knowledge of local, state and federal regulations. Also familiar with all relevant environmental laws. Receive complaints and reports on safety concerns inside and outside the company. Investigate reports of dangerous working conditions and forward the report and recommendations to senior management for redress. Receive reports on workplace injuries and investigates the causes. Visit construction sites to ensure implementation of the correct safety policies and procedures. Work with external parties such as government-employed inspectors to facilitate evaluation of construction sites. Review blueprints, evacuation plans, lighting and ventilation, and ensure there is no danger to the health and safety of workers or site visitors. Do most onsite training for all workers or arrange training programs for the ones I am not qualified to train yet. Represent the company in meetings with governmental bodies and other agencies on matters regarding workplace health and safety. Work with these agencies for regular updates on legal regulations and program initiatives on workplace safety and environmental issues. Where there is a workplace injury at a construction site, ensure the necessary documentation is completed.

Quality control
