Working on and maintaining wind turbines. Working on 2.4 and 1000 an 1000A wind turbines for the Mitsubishi Corporation. I am working with the gearbox crew replacing the gearbox for the 1000,s as we are the fastest gearbox crew in the world by replacing 2 gearboxes a day. I have been working the shop prepping the gearbox by putting on the torqucon blocks,flang,break disk, shrink disk, then stripping them as they come in. Even though this does not sound like much to do but it is one of the main process's of the gearbox before it can be replaced. Yes like I said we are the fastest gearbox crew in the world and this is something we are very proud of. As the company I work for grows as do the employee's as I have been working on the gearbox crew but now moving to the substation crew for the company. I am looking forward to working on substations from start of the substation until the end as I am trying to get the experience to further my career.
