• Structure/pipe welder in both indoor and outdoor settings• In –depth knowledge of SMAW, GTAW and GMAW.• Recognized for the ability to efficiently complete welding projects while implementing and adhering to industry safety standards• Efficiently organize and prepare equipment prior to welding assignments• Maintain tools and equipment ensuring proper functions• Combine welding techniques and knowledge of metallurgy to produce quality work• Respond to service calls quick and efficiently• Repair and modify ship equipment while following all safety guidelines including proper machine guarding and lockout procedures• Physical Duties: Climbing, lifting, high/low temperatures etc.• Working in multiple positions in various areas including ships, submarines and shops• Read blueprints, work orders and exact measurements to determine job specifications
