QinetiQ Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of QinetiQ plc, a large international company which provides technology based solutions including services and products to defence and industry. As the Chief Financial Officer of the company I am responsible for all aspects of company financial management including:• Company Finance Strategy to enable the company to achieving its overall corporate strategy• Setting of financial control targets and development of appropriate KPI's• Finance reporting and advice for Board of Directors, the CEO of QinetiQ Australia and International UK Parent company• Regulatory compliance and company reporting to The Australian Securities and Investment Commission• National and International Financial Forecasting/ Budgeting• Management of Finance Team to deliver effective policies / procedures / systems and data integrity• Management of Company Insurance requirementsThis role is also responsible for the following company departments and their deliverables: • IS (IT) including Quality Management Systems and Security (Physical /Protective / Cyber)• Workplace Health and Safety• Facilities Management (4 offices in 4 states/territories)• Merges and Acquisitions financial planning

Anutech is the technology marketing company of the Australian National University. It is divided into service divisions and has a subsidiary company involved in manufacturing.Employed to regain financial control of the company. My initial task was to introduce financial controls and reporting mechanisms using existing systems with improved processes and procedures. This task was completed and my role changed to encompasses total responsibility for financial matters including:-• Production of regular reports to the board of directors and parent entity • Production of the annual budget and interim forecasts• Review and control of all project finances• Control of cash balances and foreign currency transactions• Payroll processing including payment of associated levies and taxes• Development and improvement of financial systems• Production of consolidated statutory reports• Submission of tax returns• Control of all financial processes within the subsidiaryIn addition of my financial responsibilities, I also had corporate responsibility for :-• HR management and all associated issues• Review of tenders and proposals• The company secretarial function and corporate governance• Management of corporate facilities• Development and improvement of company policies and delegations of authority
