- Serve as instructor for first-year students: Resilience and BOLD Leadership (HLS 101)- Intended student learning outcomes include: Evaluating major theories and models of leadership and their implications; Demonstrating an understanding of the history and strategies of social justice leadership, including Africans and Afro Caribbeans as well as African Americans, in challenging injustice; • Demonstrating a commitment to social justice and accept responsibility for correcting societal inequities; Helping students create and implement a vision and practice of leadership that builds on core ethical principles and values; Serving as a positive change agent who addresses pressing social problems, global or local; Engages students in creating a comprehensive leadership and career blueprint for themselves and potential employers.

- The Mentoring Tomorrow’s Leaders (MTL) Education Network seeks to address the need for inspiration, outreach, and positive leadership for young people dealing with life-shattering situations and circumstances. We offer educational consultation, premier youth leadership programs, youth engagement workshops, and professional development for academic institutions.- Accomplishments include: Implemented youth leadership programs in 5 Chicago public schools; participated in a White House education forum to propose the implementation of financial literacy courses in public schools; Directed all-male forums and leadership training programs for 9th -12th grade students from select high schools in the Chicago area.- Awards: 2016 Richton Park Making A Difference Award

- Created and facilitated workshops for 17-24 year old high-risk youth, aimed at equipping them with job readiness skills andsocial emotional support; workshops included team building exercises, career road maps, discussions on race and poverty, themeaning of family, and financial literacy.- Served as a liaison between Emerson and various community organizations.- Served as mentor and life coach to 15 participants.

- Worked with Steve Mariotti, founder of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, in researching and interviewing small business entrepreneurs and educators both nationally and internationally.- Analyzed data for columns, and edited reports based on research findings.- Areas of research included: The Khmer Rouge, Cambodia (2014), The Vietnam War, Ho Chi Mihn, Vietnam (2014), Small Business Entrepreneurship in France, Paris, France (2014).

- 10-week extensive training in financial valuation, internal rate of return, initial public offering (IPO) valuation, M&A analysis.- Completed reports for wealth management professionals after client meetings.- Participated in case studies with other analysts involving complex analytical valuation, asset allocation, and capital structure.

- Served as a research and policy analyst on proposals to education reform, such as the Race to the Top Initiative, the Every ChildSucceeds Act, Common Core, and the investment in early childhood education.- Facilitated education workshops and mentorship initiatives at DC public schools.

Produced a series of promotional videos for the DC public school system.Tutored students in English in a summer school program at Woodson High School.

- Taught a leadership course to rising Junior and Senior High School students in select DC area public schools.- Organized and facilitated educational field trips for public school students in the DC metro area, including visits to the NationalMall museums, The White House, American University, and Bowie State University.- Served as mentor and program liaison for the students.

- Developed a written and oral presentation for DC public schools about the socioeconomic barriers that exist within the public school system.- Participated in a White House education forum to propose the implementation of financial literacy courses in public schools.- Directed an all-male leadership training program for 9th and 10th grade students from select high schools in the DMV area.

- Worked closely with current U.S. Secretary Of Education Arne Duncan on constructing board meeting reports and emailing staff members his updates.- Contacted local organizations to garner their support for special initiatives such as the Real Men Read initiative and the After School Matters program.
