  In addition to my previous roles and responsibilities as Community Organizer, my promoted role as Community Organizing Coordinator focuses on managing our campaign for equitable zoning reform in Evanston, developing our campaign organizing strategy, creating campaign materials, and encouraging both community members and decision-makers to support campaign goals. The goal of the campaign is to support the City’s efforts to pass comprehensive, positive, and progressive zoning reform during its Envision Evanston 2045 process.I act as the staff organizer for our Participant Advisory Board made up of a group of Connection’s housing services participants. My role supports the Board’s needs with: hosting board meetings, providing board members agendas and workplans, and serving as a liasion between the Connection’s staff and participants. The goal of the Board is to provide a means for participants to voice their feedback and opinions on Connection’s programs, as well as provide opportunity for community building and engagement for those with lived experience of housing instability or homelessness.
