Review client credit reports, supporting documentation, and make credit decisions regarding secured and unsecured loans.Job duties:•Render prudent credit decisions based on credit profiles, credit reports, and banking relationships and deliver decision and credit limits independently.•Underwrite unsecured and secured installment loans, credit cards, and lines of credit.•Perform employment, income, phone, and Patriot Act verifications.•Communicate findings of the application review to customers, management, and all departments across the business.•Provide credit decisions on appeals and exception overrides.•$50,000 unsecured credit and $50,000 secured credit delegation.•Responsible for underwriting employee applications.•Training and mentoring new and existing staff on all policies, procedures, and programs used within underwriting.•Consulting with to verify credit transactions, financial transactions, and resolve complaints.•Trained to find fraudulent information within income documentation as well as recognizing current fraudulent trends within the market.•Evaluating customer’s financial status to generate financial ratios to determine risk of lending.•Account monitoring of credit lines for current clients.•Resolving complex credit issues.•Work independently and with auditing teams to improve and develop procedures and processes – including call out processes, aging reports, pipelines, queue re-engineering, and queue streamlining.•Work with re-engineering teams to develop new scoring logic and new products for the bank.•Work on multiple teams and projects as a Subject Matter Expert to increase departmental efficiency – including Decision on Demand, Multiple Relationship Customer, Interactive Voice Response phone system, working aging reports and pipelines, and personal banker email alerts.•Meet and exceeds daily productivity requirements in a results driven environment.•Multitasking within and outside of the department on a daily basis.
