• Provide functional support and advice to assist Business Unit Managers at various sites around QLD.• Ensure all investigations are carried out comprehensively and in a balanced manner with a view to continual improvement. Evaluate incident forms, surveys and audits to establish root causes and together with Supervisors and Managers concerned, formulate plans of action to correct non-compliant behaviour or conditions.• Formulating plans of action to correct non-compliant behaviour or conditions together with the concerned Supervisors and Managers through behavioural based safety programs.• Influence and advise key stakeholders in a range of complex situations, adapting style and approach that leads to others to consider and adapt alternative positive perspectives and solutions.• Monitor and review Safety performance against set standards and targets, report findings to the Project / Site Managers and implement action plans to ensure standards are met or surpassed.• Define the project HSE objectives to be considered in the preparation of the HSE Plans in accordance with company policy on HSE and contractual requirements.• Perform regular inspections on workforce and subcontractors to identify compliance with the Management Systems and Pindan Safety Program, including recommendations for corrective or preventive action where appropriate.• Establish positive relationships with client and stakeholders including Group members, their departments, and industry groups.• Deliver training programs and ensure response to all specific requirements and maintain knowledge of all company safety programs within required time frames to increase HSE awareness for the Pindan ‘Zero Accident Culture’.• Develop & ensure the competency of site teams in the identification and control of hazards & risks on location by actively engaging, influencing and persuade all operational and support functions to deliver an integrated, pragmatic approach to HSE.

Supporting Isaac Plains (Goldings), BMA Blackwater, Middlemount Coal, Broadlea, Byerwen Coal, Collinsville - 7/7 rosterDuties & Responsibilities• Oversee all aspects of safety in various open cut coal mines.• Develop and roll-out strategic behaviour-based programs and mentoring - supporting site managers and supervisors through safety leadership coaching.• Supporting site operations load haul, fixed plant and drill & blast.• Promotion of Safety throughout all stages of project activities and all levels of personnel. • Conducting Incident / ICAM Investigations.
