Eurorelief is a Greek humanitarian organization providing hope and dignity to thousands of people forced to flee their homes due to violence, war, and natural disasters. They embark on a dangerous journey across the Aegean Sea from Turkiye to Greece. Once they arrive in Greece, Eurorelief offers them vital assistance as they live in refugee camps and wait for their asylum applications to be processed so that they can continue their journey into mainland Europe. Eurorelief volunteers serve by providing education, social care, skills development, translation, maintenance, and transportation to medical facilities in a way that restores hope and dignity. Volunteers take time to see those they serve as real people with feelings and value. They take time to sit and drink tea while they listen to their stories with empathy and interest.Moreover, Eurorelief also empowers and mentors the future leaders of tomorrow by helping them grow and develop their potential. As the Executive Director of Eurorelief, I am honored to serve volunteers from all over the world. I am challenged daily as I see volunteers working together in the heat or the cold to serve others with kindness and generosity.
