Over the past 30 years, I have sought to improve the global investment community through rigorous research and continuous education. The focus of my efforts has been twofold: (a) putting client interests first and foremost, and (b) the preservation and growth of wealth for investors. I conduct innovative research and publish widely in scholarly journals and magazines, and speak regularly as a recognized expert on global investment management.I currently pursue several simultaneous roles. I serve as Executive Director of the Mayo Center for Asset Management at the Darden Graduate School of Business. Here, my focus is on elevating and strengthening the Mayo Center as a global leader in investment management through developing and delivering innovative investment content, advancing responsible stewardship of wealth, and inspiring citizen-leaders. I am also the founder of Vesteer Wealth Management, an independent Registered Investment Advisor held to a fiduciary standard. We put clients interests first by combining a transparent, goals-based approach with a cost-effective, diversified, tax-aware portfolio designed to help clients grow and preserve wealth from generation to generation. Additionally, I am a co-editor of the Journal of Alternative investments published by CAIA Association.Another role that I also enjoy is serving as a an expert witness and consultant on the general practice of financial wealth management in connection with litigation cases. I have also served as an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University and Randolph Macon College.
