Responsibilities:- Develop IT Service Continuity Plans, Recovery Schedules, High Level Recovery Process and IT Recovery Procedures. - Design new solutions in line with the Eskom DR Framework (Business Intelligence (BI), NEPSR, Smallworld, and Mobile Computing).- Ensure that the DR design solution meets the requirements in terms of RTO/RPO and that infrastructure is installed and ready for testing. - Implement the solutions as per the design and perform initial tests.- Ensure that the relevant ITSCM processes are followed pre, during and post recovery. - Coordinate IT continuity tests by creating Test Plans, document test risks, conducting tests, return to normal and compiling test reports. - Log test and invocation issues in the incident management system - ensure timely resolution and escalation to management if necessary. - Ensure that recovery teams adhere to recovery processes, schedules and procedures. - Facilitate effective communication of recovery process.- Ensure that IT continuity plans and procedures are updated to reflect changes in the recovery process and technical environment. - Update IT continuity plans and procedures during testing/simulation and reviews. - Manage the IT continuity battle box. - Training and coordinating recovery teams to successfully recover IT services and return them to normal operations.
