In his current position, Rodney serves the Fall Protection Services (FPS) division of Industrial TurnAround Corporation (ITAC) as the lead designer, supporting all engineering and installation activities of the group. Rodney’s responsibilities include the development of anchorage designs and configurations, producing complete drawing packages in concert with the three structural engineers of the group, maintaining FPS’ library of literature on all supported products, performing periodic literature reviews of competing products, performing site surveys/field measurements, and providing real-time technical support of all installation activities. Rodney began his career at ITAC in the engineering and construction sector after obtaining his associate’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA. Rodney supported drafting and design work in the electrical, mechanical and structural departments of ITAC before being asked to join the FPS group.Rodney has 10+ years experience in various aspects of engineering design, with a focus on fall protection for the majority of his career at ITAC. He is a certified installer for various leading manufacturers in fall protection systems and equipment such as Capital Safety, Miller Fall Protection and Uniline Safety Systems. Rodney is highly knowledgeable and trained in all aspects of horizontal lifeline systems, rigid rail systems, guardrail, ladder climbing systems and anchor point design. Rodney also has experience designing and overseeing the fabrication of custom fall protection equipment suited to specific tasks within facilities when situations demand a unique solution. All systems developed, designed, installed, and maintained by ITAC FPS must satisfy OSHA, ANSI, and individual client standards while remaining sympathetic to task specific work methods or best practices, workplace geometry and ergonomic considerations.Specialties: Fall Protection, System Design, Turnkey Design, Retrofitted Design
