Surgery is a vulnerable time for people. Kettering Medical Center’s mission isn’t just to provide the best care—it’s to put patients at ease during difficult times. As an anesthesiologist, I get to serve both patients and my colleagues through the broader mission of Kettering Anesthesia Associates. Patient care is the most visible part of what I do, but it all goes back to building relationships with other healthcare professionals. I like seeing hard work translate into a growing practice, so we can carry out the vital mission-driven work of Kettering with as many patients as possible. Building a strong team is a prerequisite for success. I have an apple orchard that we took from a neglected dump to a thriving piece of land with over a dozen varieties of fruit.
