I consider product design engineering to be an art form, where competing objectives are subjectively balanced in order to create a product that achieves the right combination of aesthetics, ergonomics, economics and functionality in order to meet or exceed the client's requirements. I use a rigorous approach to achieve this goal, but at the heart of the effort is a necessary vision and fluency of a product's application and the development of good requirements. The conversion of those requirements first to concepts and eventually to a manufacturable product that optimally integrates technologies in multiple disciplines is my art.
