Directed Learning Rights' community engagement and policy efforts, including the TIGER (Training Individuals in Grassroots Education Reform) Program. The program trains parents on the special education system and self-advocacy. My duties include teaching parents, developing curriculum, and representing the program at stakeholder meetings, including national conferences.

I worked on discovery-related projects, including initial document review and privilege logs. The work included projects for Paul Hastings (June 2013), O’Melveny & Meyers (August 2013), and Quinn Emanuel (October 2013 to March 2014), among others.

I oversaw NMCIR's staff, budget, and all external relationships for the organization, including relations with Board Members, funders, and partners. Served as the supervising immigration attorney on staff . Oversaw the development of new projects, including a new program for youth, and the expansion of current services, including the creation of ESOL classes for adults. Other duties included writing grants, handling media relations, managing pro bono lawyers, negotiating contracts, and representing the organization at various stakeholder meetings.

I helped coordinate Vera's immigrant and language access work with law enforcement and other criminal justice stakeholders. Oversaw a 3-year grant to assist law enforcement nationwide better use the U-visa to provide status to immigrant victims of crime. As part of coordinating efforts, worked on producing tool kits, conducting national trainings, and developing online training tools, including webinars and webcasts. Other duties included writing grants, writing blogs, presenting project findings to stakeholders, and representing the project at various conferences

I worked on AFC's Immigrant Students Rights Project coordinating AFC's language access advocacy. Provided direct client representation at Due Process Hearings. Drafted subpoenas, briefs, and appeal documents. Researched and wrote policy briefs and reports, including reports on language access and New York City regulations.
