On the submarine, I played a key role in the crew, taking an active part in operations management, navigation and public relations. My specific responsibilities included:- Public Relations Management: As an officer, I was the main point of contact with civilian visitors and military delegations during public tours of the ship. I effectively communicated the missions, capabilities and issues involved, contributing to a better public understanding of our role.- Operational part: I actively participated in operations and tactical exercises, contributing to the mission. My role included surveillance and maintenance, as well as making quick and informed decisions in unforeseen situations.- Crew Management: I worked with my fellow officers and the crew to maintain a safe and efficient working environment on board.- Relations with the manufacturer: During the maintenance of the building, I had the opportunity to talk to the manufacturer who was in charge of the work. I learnt a lot about how to manage work in special environments, logistics in difficult conditions and how to bring together different players.My service on a submarine allowed me to develop exceptional skills in operations management, decision-making under pressure and strategic communication. I have demonstrated dedication to the national mission while actively contributing to public understanding of our crucial role.

During my placement at Smiths Detection, I worked on backscatter technology, which is widely used in detection and imaging systems. My main challenge was to optimise and modernise the backscatter simulation process.- Development of an innovative numerical model to simulate the backscatter, replacing the traditional photon-by-photon approach, which significantly reduced simulation time.- Programming the various stages of the simulation in Python, including X-ray emission and radiation-matter interactions.- Exploring and integrating different materials into the model to assess their impact on the backscatter.- Working closely with the technical team to validate and refine the model, ensuring optimum accuracy and reliability.This project has enabled me to gain solid experience in numerical modelling and Python programming, while helping to improve the efficiency of Smiths Detection's detection systems.

I had the opportunity to work with ORAMA as part of an R&D assignment for my school. Our challenge was to design a head-up display (HUD) solution adapted to firefighters' masks, in order to improve their efficiency and safety during interventions.- Conducting an in-depth technology watch to identify the latest innovations and trends in head-up displays and equipment for firefighters.- Carrying out various manipulations and tests to assess the feasibility, performance and ergonomics of the proposed solutions.- Proposing an innovative solution that meets the specific needs of firefighters, while taking into account technical and budgetary constraints.This assignment enabled me to develop my skills in research and development, technology watch and project management, while contributing to an essential cause: the safety and efficiency of firefighters in the field.
