Our preparatory work ensures that finished product meets clients demands on time and in full and to the correct quality standards every time. The role involves close liaison with the sales team, production, customers and suppliers. It is technically demanding and often working to very tight time deadlines and financial constraints.In addition to the above I am also responsible for all repairs and preventative maintenance within the department. I also keep abreast of new technical developments within the industry to ensure Active Displays remains at the forefront of the Australian industry.Achievements:• I have actively introduced workflow automation across every aspect of the department. This has simultaneously minimised the chances of human error affecting finished products and sped our processing times up significantly allowing enormous gains in productivity.• Productivity gains driven by my dual focus on automation and upskilling of my staff has seen my team of 8 now routinely deliver 1100 separate jobs per month with an error rate of under 1%.• I have personally trained 8 apprentices from new employee through to qualified skilled tradespeople• Initiated a staff training program that allowed Active Displays to eliminate the outsourcing or reproduction work. This enabled the company to save significant amounts of money while speeding up our response times to clients.• Successfully project managed the specification, sourcing, and installation of another projection camera that allowed Active to eliminate further expensive outsourcing. As Pre-press manager, I was in responsible for running a team of 8 staff. I dealt directly with the internal Sales team and directly with customers if required. I was responsible for the workflow though the Pre-press department to ensure the process and schedules met.
