Currently looking to put my foot in the door for a career in the Health Field. Working in a Leadership role at Providence has really opened my eyes to the Health workforce. Using my customer service skills that I have obtained from previous occupations, transitioning to this environment was smooth for me. Helping any patient that enters our clinic and leaving them satisfied with their visit always feels fulfilling. Leading by example and helping guide my caregivers to reach success was a great experience. Everyday I learn something new, whether it be how to verify a certain Insurance or how to answer and help out patients with different concerns to the best of my ability. Learning how to use programs like EPIC or InstaMed was really eye-opening, putting me in situations where I had to problem solve and use the tools that I have available to me at my best ability. My time here at Providence has only begun, but already I can see myself growing and finding new pathways in my Health Field career journey.During my previous years at Target, I got to see and learn of all kinds of perspectives in the workplace. Starting as a cashier, I engaged with many people a day trying my best to provide excellent service. Eventually moving my way up the ladder towards Returns and Services; dealing with all sorts of situations, some with high tension. This helped me learn well how to de-escalate and to encourage my peers to do the same when faced with an encounter of such intensity. From there I promoted to Team Leader, and became in charge of the entire Customer Service department. I helped lead the team in the right direction. Supervising each Team Member, ensuring our customer satisfaction, and our team's as well. Being a manager I was still learning new things. Such as, having seek to understand and coaching conversations with Team Members to help them improve and become empowered to be better at their tasks. Working here was a great experience for me personally and really helped me grow both as a worker and a person.
