To support our sponsor's goal (second largest cold chain 3PL company in the world) of implementing a dynamic S&OP process, we developed a segmentation model to improve forecasts and facilitate management decisions. Through rigorous testing, we identified the most accurate forecasting models for each segment, enabling the company to accurately project capacity utilization for the next 6 months. Additionally, we proposed an efficient S&OP framework to enable scalable operations across 240+ global facilities.

The project involved market analysis, operational supplier development, supply chain and operations design, vessels procurement, and legal compliance. • Successfully launched corporate innovation initiative to drive efficiency and facilitate agile and human-centered tools to coworkers. The initiative involved selecting and training employees in different frameworks and forming teams to tackle opportunities in Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial areas. Led a project in the commercial area, applying design thinking techniques to capture insights and trigger initiatives to increase purchase conversion in final consumers.

• Raw material (12 MM USD/year) procurement, transportation, and warehousing management.• In charge of a fifteen contributors’ team, including three direct reports.Main achievements: • Achieved a 30% reduction in warehousing costs by pruning slow-moving products in coordination with the commercial area.• Achieved a 25% reduction in transportation costs by increasing truck occupancy and adding new transportation companies to compete as suppliers.• Achieved a 100% increase in purchasing volume and a 50% increase in number of suppliers by developing second tier suppliers in geographical regions that were not covered.• Developed the first regional raw material supplier in Bolivia by training one of the most important metal recycling suppliers in the country to become a plastic recycling supplier, meeting the company’s standards.
