Recently, I concluded my third term as an adjunct faculty at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies (GCMC), in Garmish-Partenkirchen, Germany. In this role, during the 20th edition of the Program on Terrorism and Security Studies (PTSS), we engaged with almost 100 participants from 60+ nations addressing issues related to counterterrorism and radicalisation.One month before, during a three-week Seminar on Irregular Warfare/Hybrid Threats (SIWHT) the faculty team engaged with 86 participants from 62 countries exploring the trending issues taking place in the gray zone. Previously, during a four-week course on Countering Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC), I had the unique opportunity to interact with 92 participants from 40 different countries. Our primary responsibility as faculty members is to foster and guide discussions on relevant topics. I also had the privilege of discussing transnational organized crime in Latin America on the GCMC’s main stage.I am also an Erasmus Mundus merit-based scholarship holder, concluding a master's degree in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies at three leading European universities: University of Glasgow, Dublin City University and Charles University Prague. My research interests include evidence-based policing, intelligence-led policing, countering transnational organized crime, crime-terror nexus, new and emerging technologies in law enforcement and governance of security. My goal is to advance my professional and academic skills, and to contribute to the enhancement of security and justice in a complex and dynamic global context.
