Dr. Rodrigo Falcão Moreira is the Technical Director of GROUNDMOTION International, a design company which is highly specialized in the fields of Earthquake and Structural Engineering. Relying on a team of experienced professionals, the company dedicates itself to the design of optimized structural solutions and to the seismic assessment and retrofitting of the existing building stock on several countries.Dr. Falcão Moreira is also an Invited Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering of the Polytechnic of Porto, where he is involved with several subjects like Dynamic of Structures and Earthquake Engineering, Steel Design, Theory of Structures, Strength of Materials, etc. He is a Researcher at CONSTRUCT-LESE (Laboratory for Earthquake and Structural Engineering), a scientific research unit based on the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP). He is also a Senior Member of the Portuguese Engineers Association (OE). Dr. Falcão Moreira holds graduate degrees (M.Sc., Ph.D.) from FEUP, where he has been recognized as a distinguished alumnus and received several honors.
