As a recent graduate of UC Berkeley with a BA in Data Science and a minor in History, I am passionate about applying data-driven solutions to social and educational challenges. I have over two years of experience as an Undergraduate Student Instructor and a Tutor at the UC Berkeley Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society, where I taught and mentored hundreds of students in various data science courses, developed curriculum and assessment materials, and facilitated online and in-person learning environments. I also have valuable experience as a Data Science Intern at The People Lab, a research organization that uses data and behavioral science to improve the well-being and performance of people and organizations. There, I conducted data analysis, visualization, and modeling on various projects related to employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organizational culture. Additionally, I have been involved in several leadership and service roles at the Centers for Educational Equity and Excellence (CE3), where I coordinated and supported programs and initiatives that promote academic success and empowerment for underrepresented and marginalized students in STEM fields. Some of the skills that I have acquired and honed through these experiences include attention to detail, statistical data analysis, data visualization, Python, R, SQL, and Tableau. I am also fluent in Spanish and have a keen interest in history and its applications to data science. My core competencies include collaboration, communication, problem-solving, and creativity. I am eager to leverage my skills, knowledge, and passion to contribute to the data science field and make a positive impact on society.
