Responsible for Mining Equipment asset integrity and reliability engineering activities.- Performed component tear-down report, including sub-components wear, measurements, and lubricant condition. These reports provided information back to the design engineering team in Japan- Investigated recurring failures in components, such as hydraulic cylinders and mechanical transmissions, finding the root cause of the problem and resulting in reduction of failures, better reputation, and reduction with warranty expenses.- Carried out internal audits in the remanufacturing process of hydraulic pumps and cylinders, identified areas of improvement. This work involved three different plants (QLD, NSW, WA) and over 70 hours of workshop inspections. Resulted in an action plan to improve the process and eliminate variation.- Conduct validation tests and data analysis for mining Rigid Dump Truck, Data evaluation using RStudio software, providing insights that were essential for the engineering team in Japan.Lead projects to sustain or improve equipment maintenance & productivity performance.- Led the design and project management of the Remote Flow Meter Tool, a solution for remotely testing pump performance. Successfully delivered six units across Australia, achieving the primary goal of safety improvement, and saving over $250,000 with tooling expenses.- Conducted the a review of the Oil Sample Alarm Setpoints by analyzing historical data of Mining Excavators for compartments such as hydraulic system and gear transmission boxes. This analysis covered more than 50,000 oil samples, which were evaluated using software RStudio and statistical tools. This work resulted in a national distributed Service Bulletin, containing updated recommendations for customers and laboratories.- Design of a hydraulic operated tool to install/remove pins from the front attachment of Mining Excavators.

My responsibilities included all process documentation, PPAP’s, FMEA’s, Product/Process Improvement projects, and the Technical Support department.- Reviewed and developed new quality KPIs for all production sectors of the company.- During this period, I was invited by Hydraforce to do six sigma training in the USA.- Concluded two six-sigma projects, one related to improving the valve assembly torque capacity and the other to improving the level of contamination (gravimetric) in the final products.- Introduced internal training sessions on continuous improvement concepts.- Successfully carried out the nationalization of a critical item for the active suspension control of a major agricultural OEM tractor, making our company's profile stand out on the global stage for having technical ability to supply a complex and critical item complying with the required standards.

Responsible for implementing quality improvements and expanding the production capacity of the assembly line and final product testing.- Implemented new methods and controls to ensure that customer requirements were met, and the expected level of QA was met. During this period, the company receive Partner-level status from Johnn Deere's Achieving Excellence program.- Developed changes in the process to reduce execution times and increase production capacity. This activity involved tools, fixtures, and methods, and resulted in a capacity increase of around 20%.- Later, I led the complete change of the manifold assembly layout, moving from production cells to the assembly line. This change involved new assembly benches, cleaning equipment, tools, and new test benches, which I designed and built.- Successfully facilitated major OEM QA and ISO9001 audits on the new assembly line- Developed an internal contamination analysis laboratory, with capacity for gravimetric testing and particle analysis by microscope, meeting the cleanliness standards of the main customers.- In this role I led a team of 12 assembly operators, 2 engineers and 1 engineering intern. Developed a career plan program for factory floor employees, resulting in the identification of talents within the company and a fair system for internal promotion.

Development and nationalization of hydraulic manifold and electronic controls applications for major OEM accounts in the agricultural, construction, material handling, and mining markets.- Participated in meetings with major OEMs, such as John Deere, AGCO, CNH, JCB, Manitowoc, and Terex, to discuss the development of new machines and component nationalization projects.- Was responsible for complying with the development requirements of large OEMs, such as Design and Production FMEA, statistical process control for critical characteristics, and PPAPs.- Coordinated component nationalization projects, facilitating the exchange of information from the product engineering and production departments of Hydraforce in the USA.- Developed a proportional control system for coupling the PTO of an agricultural tractor, consisting of a pressure control valve and electronic controller. Years later, this product became the company's highest-revenue item, reaching over $300k USD per year.
